JABAR EKSPRES – West Ham United has strengthened its defense by signing center-back Konstantinos Mavropanos from Vfb Stuttgart on a five-year contract.
“West Ham United are delighted to announce the signing of Greece international Konstantinos Mavropanos,” the club announcement read, quoted from the official website, Wednesday.
Mavropanos is the third player signed by The Hammers in the transfer market this summer after Edson Alvarez from Ajax Amsterdam and James Ward-Prowse from Southampton.

His arrival at the London Stadium, West Ham headquarters, made him return to the Premier League competition after previously trying out the same event while defending Arsenal.
At that time, The Greek player appeared four times with the Gunners in the Premier League before being loaned out to FC Nuremberg in January 2020.
“I am very happy and excited to be here and back in the Premier League with West Ham United,” said Mavropanos.
The player who will wear the jersey number 15 is happy to be able to join West Ham, especially since the club from West London has just won the European Conference League last season.

Meanwhile, West Ham coach David Moyes welcomed with open arms the arrival of Mavropanos who will further strengthen his team’s defense.
Defender 1,94 meters tall it will add to the players who play as center-backs at The Hammers with Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd, Angelo Ogbonna, and Thilo Kehrer.
“I am delighted to welcome Konstantinos to West Ham United. We are looking at options to increase our choice of center-backs this summer, so it’s good that we can bring in an international defender with his abilities,” said Moyes.
