Chelsea Sign Young Brazilian Talent Angelo Gabriel from Santos

JABAR EKSPRES – Chelsea have signed young Brazilian winger, Angelo Gabriel from Santos, the Blues revealed on their official website on Monday (7/17).

Details of Angelo’s transfer deal were not disclosed by Chelsea, but British media reported that the English Premier League club had to spend 15 million euros (around Rp257 billion) to sign the 18-year-old player.

In October 2020, Angelo became the youngest debutant in Brazilian league history at the age of 15 years and 308 days. He has since made 129 appearances and scored five goals for Santos in all competitions.

Angelo is Chelsea’s third signing in the transfer market this summer after Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig and Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal.

The Blues are still expected to sign several new players after they overhauled their squad by selling most of their players, including Kai Havertz, Mateo Kovacic and Cesar Azpilicueta.
