JABAR EKSPRES – The U-22 Indonesian National Football Team won 1-0 over the Philippines in the first round of the 2023 SEA Games Group A match in Cambodia.
The match was held at the Phnom Penh National Stadium, Cambodia, Saturday (29/4) afternoon, Western Indonesian Time.
Midfielder Marselino Ferdinan managed to score after taking advantage of a cross from right winger Rio Fahmi.
Since the start of the match, Indonesia continued to try to play aggressively until it got its first chance in the third minute. Witan Sulaeman shot the ball from outside the penalty box, but goalkeeper Quincy Kammeraad managed to fend off the ball.
Indonesia’s mad opportunity to score a goal in the third minute made it difficult for the Garuda Muda national team to continue developing their game.
Throughout the match, they continued to dominate the ball as if it were their own, but not a single pass they were able to find centre-forward Ramadhan Sananta or create a clear chance.

Jeam Kelly Sroyer created a new opportunity by sending a through ball to Ramadhan. However, his kick only hit the net next to the goal.

Indonesia was cornered by the Philippines national team when they launched a counterattack. Even so, Ernando Ari was still able to overcome this and managed to throw the ball.
