JABAR EKSPRES – The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday (7/28) summoned the Chargé d’Affaires of the Danish Embassy in Saudi Arabia over the burning of the Quran by an extremist group that shouted slogans of hatred and racism against Islam and Muslims.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry lodged a protest calling for the despicable act, which violates all religious teachings, laws and international norms, to stop, according to SPA news agency.
Saudi Arabia reiterated that it rejects all acts that incite interfaith hatred.
On Tuesday (7/25) this week the Danish right-wing Islamophobic group Danske Patrioter burned a Quran in front of the Turkish and Egyptian Embassies in Copenhagen.

The insult to the holy book sparked condemnation from Muslim countries around the world.
Denmark condemned the burning incident and called it a “shameful act” that disrespected other religions.
The Danish Foreign Ministry said the provocative act hurt many people and created divisions between religions and cultures.
“Denmark upholds freedom of religion and many Danes are Muslims. They are an invaluable part of Danish society,” the Danish Foreign Ministry tweeted.
