JABAR EKSPRES – Press Secretary to the Emperor of Japan, Kojiro Shiojiri said, he was very impressed with the music at the lunch program when the Emperor of Japan Naruhito at the Bogor Palace was very memorable.
“An ensemble with violin and sasando from NTT was provided, and the selection of songs was extraordinary. There are regional songs, there are even Japanese songs played by the violin and sasando,” Shiojiri said in Jakarta, Monday (6/19).
Shiojiri assessed that the lunch food during the visit of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako at Bogor Palace showed the specialty of each region.
“The food served is also extraordinary. Everything shows the special characteristics of food from each region, and also tastes very good,” Shiojiri said.
Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako met with President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana at Bogor Palace.

In his remarks with President Jokowi, Emperor Naruhito said that he wanted to learn about the diversity of society and culture while in Indonesia.
“We want to remember and feel the people who contributed to enhancing the friendship between the two countries,” Emperor Naruhito said as reiterated by Shiojiri.
Shiojiri revealed that Naruhito expects the friendship and exchange of young people between the two countries to continue to enhance the friendly relations between the two countries.
Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako are visiting Indonesia for five days which is their maiden visit abroad after ascending the throne on May 1, 2019.
The Emperor’s visit coincides with the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Japan, as well as the 50th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) cooperation with Japan.
