“We commemorate the Nakba not just as a historical event but for the ongoing process of oppression imposed over the past 75 years through ongoing land colonization, apartheid imposition, and military occupation,” said a statement from the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, on Sunday (5/14).
“The Palestinian people need our solidarity now more than ever,” the group added.
Palestinian protesters also targeted the offices of logistics company Kuehne and Nagel, located in Leicester, for its links to Israeli weapons manufacturer Elbit System.
Activists spray-painted the building and destroyed office equipment including phones and computers.
“Kuehne and Nagel should know that by working with Elbit, Israel’s largest arms and military company, they are supporting the killing and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, Palestine Action said in a statement.
The statement also stated that making deliveries and overseeing logistics is a direct contribution to Israel’s arms supply chain.
“All companies should stop profiting from the bloodshed of Palestinians, or Palestine Action will,” the statement added.
