JABAR EKSPRES – Spanish giants FC Barcelona have signed 18-year-old youngster Mikayil Faye from NK Kustosija Zagreb on a four-year contract until 2027 with a release clause of 400 million euros.
“FC Barcelona and NK Kustosija Zagreb have reached an agreement for the player Mikayil Faye for the next four seasons, until June 30, 2027 with a buy out clause of 400 million euros,” wrote the club’s official announcement via social media on Tuesday (6/20).
The footballer who plays as a defender has completed medical tests at the Barcelona hospital and medical services located at Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
“The player has undergone the necessary medical tests at the Barcelona Hospital and FC Barcelona Medical Services at Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, visited the club’s facilities and took to the pitch at Estadi Johan Cruyff wearing the Barca shirt,” read the club’s official announcement.
“Thus, all that remains is the official signing of his contract,” the official announcement added.

Born in Sedhiou, Senegal on July 14, 2004, Faye began her career with Diambars FC in the Gambian league.
Performing well, Faye then moved to Croatia’s second division club NK Kustosija to sign her.
“As a child I had photos of Barca in my room, I fulfilled a dream,” Faye said after officially wearing a Barcelona uniform as reported by Twitter Barca Atletic.
With the Zagreb-based club, Faye appeared 13 times, 11 of which were as a starter and also scored one goal.
Faye’s goal was scored when his team won 3-0 against NK Hrvatski Dragovoljac in May last month.
At a young age, Faye made the Senegal U-17 squad and has 10 caps with a total of 794 minutes played, as reported by Transfermarkt.
