JABAR EKSPRES – Indonesian National Team member Dendy Sulistiawan, who is also a Polri personnel with the rank of Police Brigadier Two (Bripda), admitted that he has become more confident playing on the field since he became a police officer.
In a written statement from the National Police Public Relations Division, Saturday (6/17), Dendy said that being a member of the National Police was not a burden for him, but instead strengthened his mentality when grazing with friends of the Indonesian National Team.
“There must be differences, as a member of the National Police, he is also mentored in metal. Emotional control is better, mental play increases,” he said.
Dendy joined the Police through the achievement path. He entered the State Police School (SPN) in 2018.
His first debut as a soccer player played for Persela Lamongan soccer club, holding the position of striker or attacker. His expertise in playing on the field made him attracted by Bhayangkara FC and now strengthens the Police team.

His achievements in the field of sports allowed him to enter the Police through the achievement path.
Dendy said that every time he was about to compete he was often nervous, making him unable to sleep because he could not control his emotions and mentality.
However, thanks to constant training and mental coaching when he became a member of the National Police, he became more mature and able to control his nervousness when competing in the field.
“So there is nervousness but now it’s not too much. Before becoming a member, I couldn’t sleep, the more experience in football, the more mature emotional and mental control,” said Dendy.
The man from Lamongan admitted that the National Police had provided motivation to personnel who also acted as athletes, both soccer and other athletes, to excel.
