Jabar Ekspres – The shoes worn by NBA legend Michael Jordan in a game dubbed “Flu Game” from the 1997 NBA Finals sold at auction for 1.38 million US dollars or around Rp20 billion.
“Michael Jordan 1997 “Flu Game” sneakers final sale price: $1,380,000,” memorabilia auction company Goldin announced via a Twitter post on Thursday (15/6).
The sneakers are part of the history of Jordan and the Bulls who won six NBA titles in the 1990s.

The Bulls and Utah drew in the best-of-seven NBA finals in 1997 with two wins each ahead of the fifth game, when Michael Jordan felt sick, fever and dehydration due to a virus but continued to play for Chicago.
According to AFP records, quoted Friday, in that match Michael Jordan scored 38 points in 44 minutes and made a decisive three-pointer in the final seconds for the Bulls 90-88 victory.
It was the Jazz’s only home defeat in the playoffs and Chicago went on to take the crown in six games, while Michael Jordan was named NBA Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP).
The former Jazz ballboy’s shoes were first sold at auction 10 years ago for nearly $105,000.
