JABAR EKSPRES – K-pop girl group BLACKPINK managed to earn as much as 100 Billion Won from a two-month tour. For one tour, they stand in first place as the girl group with the biggest tour income in the world.
BLACKPINK has surpassed the legendary Spice Girls with one world tour. They managed to attract 366,248 viewers to their 26 appearances during the last two months of last year, earning a total of 104.48 Billion Won.
This achievement allowed YG Entertainment’s K-pop girl group to surpass the Spice Girls’ previous record earnings from their 2019 world tour with $78.2 million from 11 shows.
BLACKPINK also performed 26 performances last year, and this year, they carried out 31 performances, mostly in Asian countries. The music industry expects that they will achieve revenues of up to 300 billion won this year.
They started their world tour in October 2022 in Seoul, South Korea and continued to tour various parts of the world such as North America, Europe and Asia. BLACKPINK also added a BORN PINK tour schedule for Australia and Mexico. Apart from that, they also added the encore schedule in several countries they previously visited.
On April 15 and 22, BLACKPINK appeared at Coachella 2023 as a headliner and performed several of their hits. In their first week, they managed to reach more than 250 million viewers through live broadcasts on the Coachella YouTube account.
They also appeared as guest stars on The Late Late Show with James Corden in the carpool karaoke segment. The monster K-pop group sings popular songs by TLC No Scrubs, Spice Girls Wannabe, and popular songs of their own, one of which is Pink Venom.
