JABAR EKSPRES – The West Lombok Resort Police (Polres), West Nusa Tenggara, arrested two laborers suspected of being the owners of 48.03 grams of methamphetamine drugs ready for distribution.
“We secured 48.03 grams of methamphetamine in this disclosure which is the largest amount we have ever found in 2023. In the previous year, the largest disclosure only reached 40 grams,” West Lombok Police Chief, AKBP Bagus Nyoman Gede J, told reporters in West Lombok Regency on Tuesday (6/6).
He said the two suspected perpetrators with the initials RK and HA, work as casual daily laborers and come from Karang Bongkot Village, Labuapi District, West Lombok Regency.

“Both were arrested in Labuapi sub-district on Saturday (6/3) and are currently in detention,” he said.
During the arrest of the two suspects, he said, officers also secured a number of pieces of evidence, including one clear plastic wrap containing clear crystal beads suspected of being methamphetamine.
In addition, officers also confiscated two clear clips containing crystal grains and six clear plastic pockets containing crystal grains, two android cellphones, green scissors, matches, small pipettes, glass, large pipettes and cash amounting to Rp1 million.
According to him, the alleged perpetrators, RK and HA, were charged with Article 114 paragraph 2 as well as Article 132 paragraph 1 and Article 112 paragraph 2 as well as Article 132 paragraph 1 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics.
“They are suspected of committing an evil conspiracy in offering, selling, buying, intermediating in the sale and purchase, exchanging, handing over, as well as possessing, storing, and controlling class one narcotics with an amount exceeding five grams,” he said.
Thus, he said, the punishment for the alleged perpetrators includes the death penalty, life imprisonment, as well as imprisonment for a minimum of six years and a maximum of 20 years.
