Alex Marquez and Giannantonio are More Comfortable with the Desmosedici GP22

Jabar Ekspres – Gresini Racing riders Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio admitted that they were more comfortable with the Desmosedici GP22 suit that became their mount in MotoGP 2023 when they paved at Sachsenring Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Germany, Sunday (6/18).

Giannantonio finished in ninth position after starting the race in 14th. These results are much better than the previous round in Italy when he finished the race in 14th position.

“We had a great race, maybe the best so far. We completed some overtaking maneuvers on a track that was almost impossible to pass. I am very happy with the expert recommendations of the mechanical team to make the bike comfortable during the race, although unfortunately we started far from the back,” Giannantonio said through a written statement received by Indonesia Window here on Tuesday.

With the results at the German GP, the Italian racer earned 7 points, so that in the MotoGP standings 2023 he is 15th with 34 points. The first position is occupied by Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) with 160 points.

Giannantonio’s teammate at Gresini Racing, Alex Marquez also said the bike settings at the German GP had changed.

“We are happy and if we could have solved some of the bike suit problems earlier with the mechanical team, we would have talked about a different result,” said Alex Marquez.

At the race in Germany, Alex Marquez finished in seventh position and earned nine points which puts him in 11th place in the standings with 52 points.

On a different occasion, Consumer Brand General Manager of PT ExxonMobil Lubricants Indonesia (EMLI) Rommy Averdy said Alex Marquez and Giannantonio were able to show their quality at the German GP.

“They understand that collecting points is much more important at the very difficult Sachsenring Circuit. Of course, not only satisfied with the results this time, there is still the next series in the Dutch MotoGP to do before the summer break,” said Rommy.
