PSSI Ensures That The Preparation for FIFA Matchday in Surabaya is Going Well

JABAR EKSPRES – Executive Committee of the Indonesian Football Association (Exco PSSI) Ahmad Riyadh ensured that the preparation for the FIFA Matchday between the Indonesian National Team (Timnas) and Palestine in Surabaya was going well.

“Everything is going well, we have also coordinated with related parties, including the security stationed at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (GBT),” Riyadh said in his statement in Surabaya on Tuesday.

According to the man who also serves as Chairman of the Provincial Association (Asprov) PSSI East Java, based on the results of the meeting with related parties will be deployed 4.300 joint personnel, consisting of police and Indonesian National Army (TNI) who will be on duty at GBT Stadium Surabaya.

“From the results of the meeting determined 4.300 joint personnel,” said the man who is familiarly called Abah Riyadh.

In addition, he said, his party has also requested that toll road access directly to the stadium be opened to the public and not only for VIPs to increase access and unravel the buildup of vehicles, especially four-wheeled vehicles heading to GBT.

“I have conveyed it to the Mayor of Surabaya during the gala dinner, PSSI asked to try to open toll road access to the GBT Stadium to avoid vehicle congestion in the area leading to the stadium,” he said.

Therefore, Riyadh expressed his gratitude for the efforts made by the Surabaya City Government which have helped make the implementation of FIFA Matchday run smoothly.

“In the future at the meeting, PSSI will give a special award as a city that is worthy of holding international matches, future matchdays will be prioritized to Surabaya,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Sub-Coordinator for Supervision and Control of Traffic and Road Transportation of the Surabaya City Transportation Agency (Dishub) Soe Priyo Utomo said Surabaya Mayor Eri Cahyadi had sent an official letter to the toll road manager and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).
