JABAR EKSPRES – Liverpool FC coach Jurgen Klopp admits that he is very happy that his team has officially secured the services of Argentine player Alexis Mac Allister.
On a long-term contract at an undisclosed fee, Mac Allister became Liverpool’s first signing to navigate the next season 2023/2024.
“We added a very talented boy, very smart, very technically skilled to our squad and this is amazing news, really,” Klopp said, reported through the club’s official website, Friday (6/9).
Klopp said he didn’t need to explain much about the player’s abilities 24 that year because the quality of the player is already widely known.

“I don’t think the football world needs me to say too much about Alexis’ qualities because they are well known enough,” Klopp said.
In the past year, Mac Allister has been brilliant with his club Brighton and the Argentina national team.
With 10 goals and two assists from 35 appearances with The Seagulls in the English Premier League (EPL) or English League 2022/2023, Mac Allister became an important part of the club based at the American Express Community Stadium to compete in Europe next season, precisely the UEFA Europa League (UEL) or Europa League after finishing in sixth place in the EPL 2022/2023.
“My admiration and respect for what Brighton is doing is well known and Alexis has been part of the journey they have been on to become one of the toughest and best teams in the Premier League,” said the former Borussia Dortmund coach.
With Argentina, Mac Allister managed to bring the country of his birth to win the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. At that time, he appeared six times and recorded one goal in the group stage against Poland and one assist in the final against France.
The German coach said Mac Allister is a player who can play various positions in midfield and is also a smart player.
