Ahead of qualifying on Saturday (5/27), Hamilton thinks he can surprise.
On the other hand, his teammate, George Russell, did not enjoy as smooth a day as Hamilton, finishing 15th in FP1 and 13th in FP2. Although the Mercedes racer said it was too early to draw conclusions, he admitted there were “positive signs”.
“I think, as we said yesterday, in Monaco – (this) is a very unique circuit – this is not the place to evaluate every update and change,” Russell said.
