G-Pluck Plays Extra Songs to Appreciative Audience at Beatleweek

JABAR EKSPRES – The Beatles tribute band from Jakarta, G-Pluck, gained a great appreciation from the Beatles music lovers who packed the Wave Bar Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool, United Kingdom, Sunday (8/27) night local time, by presenting their best performance.

The band consisting of Awan Garnida (bass), Gilang Pramudya (guitar/vocals), Fery Gustian (guitar/vocals), Beni Pratama (drums), and Aufa Kantadiredja (keyboard/vocals), performed for 45 minutes in front of hundreds of heads.

They performed a number of songs, including “Twist and Shout”, “Please Please Me”, “Misery”, “Love Me Do”, “I Feel Fine”, and “I Want To Hold Your Hand”.

“Thank you all for your warmth here. We feel at home, even though Jakarta is about twenty hours away from Liverpool,” said bass player and band frontman Awan Garnida on behalf of his colleagues as they were about to end their performance.

But when host Steve took to the stage to close G-Pluck’s performance, the audience shouted in unison for the band to continue.
“Come on, play a few more songs!” shouted an audience member sitting in the front row.

“They played well. Continue,” said another audience member.

Steve then approached Awan and asked, “How about it, do you want to continue playing?” to which Awan and the G-Pluck personnel replied with an enthusiastic nod.

So, the song “She Loves You” was smoothly launched into the warmth at the Wave Bar Adelphi Hotel at the Liverpool International Beatleweek Festival 2023.
