JABAR EKSPRES – Indonesian Ambassador to Tunisia Zuhairi Misrawi said Indonesia’s young generation must take a role in building world civilization so they must prepare themselves with adequate abilities.
“I ask the Association of Indonesian Students in the Middle East-Africa Region (PPIDK) to love knowledge. The love of knowledge must have a purpose, namely to build the civilization of Indonesia and the world,” Zuhairi said at the closing of the PPIDK Middle East-Africa symposium, in Tunis, Tunisia, Wednesday (7/19) night.
He reminded that the younger generation must have the awareness that Indonesia has a vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045 and will become a player at the world level.

Zuhairi said he was optimistic that the Golden Indonesia 2045 could be realized due to several indications such as the condition of democracy, state design, and the existence of Indonesian political parties in good condition.
“Then where is the role of the younger generation, are they spectators or players? If I would choose to be a player, you must take a role in leading the country,” he said.
He reminded that Indonesian students in the Middle East-Africa must remember that to build Indonesian civilization, they must know that Indonesia has Pancasila and the principle of Unity in Diversity.
Therefore, according to him, Indonesian students should not bring the ideology of the caliphate and establish an Islamic state when they return home.
“Indonesian students must take a role in building a world that is currently ‘chaotic’. You must become world leaders because there is an opportunity to speak in the world because in 2045, Indonesia is in the golden age,” he said.
