JABAR EKSPRES – PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk dredged 16.3 tons of waste in the Clean Waters and Manage Waste Together with Indocement (Ber-Aksi) action on the commemoration of World Environment Day.
Director and Secretary of PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk, Antonius Marcos, in Citeureup, Bogor Regency, West Java, Sunday, explained that the simultaneous activities on June 10, 2023 took place in three areas, namely Bogor Regency, Cirebon Regency, and Kotabaru Regency (South Kalimantan).
The activity that took place in Bogor Regency involved employees of Indocement Citeureup Plant Complex with the action of cleaning up garbage in the Cileungsi River. Then the activity in Cirebon Regency involved employees of Indocement Cirebon Plant Complex with the action of cleaning agricultural irrigation channels in West Palimanan Village.
Meanwhile, the activity in Kotabaru Regency involved employees of Indocement Tarjun Plant Complex to clean up the coastal areas of Tarjun Village and Selat Laut.
“From this action, Indocement managed to clean up a total of 16.3 tons of waste consisting of organic and non-organic waste,” said Antonius Marcos.
Indocement also organizes several activities to maintain biodiversity throughout Indocement’s factory complex. “At the Citeureup Plant Complex, the inauguration of the Taman3Roda conservation area and vegetation planting were also carried out,” he said.

Then, he said, at the Cirebon Plant Complex, the inauguration of the endemic and rare plant conservation area “Kebon Cirebon” covering an area of 3.5 hectares and symbolic planting of 100 Cirebon endemic trees in the form of Benda, Bungur, Gempol, Jamblang, Kedawung, Kesambi, Puspa, Rasamala, Saninten, Tanjung and Walikukun trees.
Meanwhile, in the Tarjun Factory Complex, 1,000 mangrove trees were planted as well as rare trees, namely Ulin and Pasak Bumi.
“Indocement also supports the DKI Jakarta Akbar Emission Test for two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles held on June 5, 2023 and participates in the Blue Carbon or Net Zero Emission from Ocean (NEMO) Program initiated by the South Kalimantan Provincial Environment Office,” he explained.
