JABAR EKSPRES – Many spectator seats for Formula E Jakarta 2023 were still empty when the electric car race took place on the second day at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC) Ancol, North Jakarta, Sunday (6/4).
Almost all seats in the grandstand tribune are still empty. In fact, previously the Formula E organizing committee said the tickets to watch Formula E had been sold out.
PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as the organizer of Formula E 2023 in Jakarta claims that the tickets have been sold out. In total, 40,000 tickets have been sold.
The air temperature at the Ancol Circuit during the race showed 32 degrees Celsius, making some spectators use fans so as not to get hot while watching the race.

There are four categories of Formula E tickets. First, there is the Circuit Festival which is the cheapest, at Rp750 thousand per day. Then, the Grandstand which is priced at IDR 1 million to IDR 1.5 million, Deluxe Suite IDR 10 million, and Royal Suite IDR 12 million.
To fill the empty seats at the Grandstand, officers wearing neon yellow vests with Goers Crew inscriptions offered free ticket upgrades.
One of the spectators, Hani, claimed to have been approached by a committee from Goers and offered to upgrade tickets.
“I was offered, whether I wanted to upgrade or not, and then I got a free ticket. Yes, Alhamdulillah,” said Hani.
Hani, who initially bought a Festival class ticket for Rp 750,000 without thinking, immediately accepted the offer of a Grandstand ticket.
