JABAR EKSPRES – Ferrari driver, Charles Leclerc, admits that he is confident enough to be able to win a hat trick pole position at the Monaco Grand Prix this time, even though many rivals such as Red Bull and Aston Martin are trying to put pressure.
Leclerc finished second to Max Verstappen during the second practice session (FP), just 0.065 seconds slower than the world champion.
“We are okay, but Aston Martin and Red Bull seem to be very fast too, so we still need to make steps forward,” said Leclerc, quoted from the official Formula 1 website, Saturday (5/27).
“My feeling in the car was not too bad during FP1, but it was a bit difficult. In FP2 it was a little better, but there are some things that are a little unexpected in my car, so we will work overnight to get the best condition of the car as I want,” he added.

Earlier at the Miami GP, the Monaco racer was eliminated from the final qualifying session, raising questions about his approach behind the wheel. He promised to be more aggressive at the race in his hometown.
“I will give everything, qualifying is everything here. There was a lot of talk about my last race, but qualifying has always been one of my strengths, so I’m not worried, I’ll do it and let’s see what happens,” he said.
“I don’t think we have the best car. Again, Red Bull is faster, Aston Martin too, but if we do a good job and I put everything (together) in my lap, then everything is possible,” he added.
Right behind Leclerc is his teammate, Carlos Sainz, who showed good speed before crashing into one of the exits in the second practice session.
