Fifth Round of WSBK Ready to Roll at Misano

JABAR EKSPRES – The fifth round of the World Superbike (WSBK) is ready to roll at the Misano Circuit, Italy, in early June where this circuit is one of the classic WSBK venues with various interesting stories in it.

Quoted from the official statement on Saturday (5/27), Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing), is the most successful rider at Misano, with a total of eight wins. He also got his first win at Misano, in Race 2 in 2009.

Other maiden winners at the track include Michael Ruben Rinaldi in 2021 in Race 1, Andrew Pitt in 2006 in Race 2, and Mauro Lucchiari in 1995 in Race 1.

“The first part of Misano is very exciting but tricky at the same time. If you make a mistake at Turn 1, you will keep that mistake until Turn 3, because that is the sequence,” said Rinaldi, who is now with the Aruba. It Ducati team.

Furthermore, Alvaro Bautista’s teammate said he really likes Turn 8 because it requires certain tactics to pass.

“If you look at my races in 2021, I was the only one who stayed very tight on the exit. I was able to cover less distance and not lose too much speed, so in the end I was faster doing my ‘weird’ line. Some of the other top riders started taking – not the exact same line – but tighter than they did before. It was a cool corner,” he said.

Earlier, there was a supported test that took place at Misano after the WSBK Spain run.

Bautista’s race pace was once again strong at the Misano test, where he lapped consistently at 1min 34sec, or faster than his pace from last year’s main race.

Toprak Razgatlioglu (Pata Yamaha) also had a strong pace during the Misano test, and he is preparing for this fifth round to challenge the defending champion.
