JABAR EKSPRES – Menpora Dito Ariotedjo revealed that President Joko Widodo will inaugurate and release the Indonesian contingent for the SEA Games XXXII/2023 Cambodia on Tuesday, May 2.
“The plan is for the inauguration and release next week. We are submitting a request to President Jokowi on May 2. Because, on May 3 and 4, they have already started,” said Dito at the Kemenpora Office, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday (28/4).
Reportedly, the Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex area will be the place or location for the inauguration and release of the Indonesian contingent.

The ceremony for the release of the new Indonesian contingent will be held next week. However, several sports have gradually dispatched athletes. Especially for athletes who have a match schedule before the opening ceremony of the Cambodian SEA Games, Friday, May 5th.
The football branch has departed for Cambodia on Tuesday (25/4) yesterday. Then, the cricket branch followed.
Indoor hockey has also departed on Thursday (27/4) yesterday, early in the morning. Then, the bicycle race on Saturday (29/4) in the morning and the triathlon which will depart Monday (1/5).
A total of 599 athletes sent to the SEA Games, consisting of 379 male athletes and 220 female athletes. The Indonesian team will compete in 31 sports out of a total of 36 branches.
The Indonesian contingent is targeting to win 60 gold medals as a form of defense in the top three positions in the final medal standings.
