Malaysia’s Negeri Sembilan Interested in Bogor Tourism Model

JABAR EKSPRES – The Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Bogor City, West Java, received a visit from legislative representatives of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, who are interested in the tourism model in the Bogor area, West Java.

Secretary of Commission IV of the Bogor City DPRD, Devi P Sultani in Bogor City, Thursday, said that a group of legislative representatives from Negeri Sembilan had visited Bogor City and the Sentul Puncak area, Cisarua District, Bogor Regency, on Wednesday (9/6), to see the model of citizen-based tourism development there.

“So friends from Negeri Sembilan are happy to see licensing in Bogor City which is not complicated, so that the economy grows, then also interested in Kampung Budaya in Sentul see the peak too,” Devi said.

She said that a group of legislative representatives from Negeri Sembilan, a Malaysian state, felt the need to improve the licensing system and adopt the tourism model in Sentul and Puncak Bogor.

The interest of the Negeri Sembilan legislators in Bogor tourism is because it has the same tourism potential, namely rice fields and open nature.

From their visit to the rainy city and two areas of Bogor Regency will be followed up with an exploration of cooperation that can be carried out by the city government and Bogor district government with Negeri Sembilan.

The Bogor City licensing system model and Bogor City MSMEs will be offered to fill the culinary in Negeri Sembilan tourism.

“There are mostly overseas people from West Sumatra such as Bukit Tinggi and Payakumbuh. So they are familiar with Indonesia and hopefully there is something that can be cooperated,” he said.
