JABAR EKSPRES – PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) booked a total of 5,796 vehicle order letters (SPK) during the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023, the latest generation duo Avanza and Veloz led sales with SPK of 1,213 units (20.9 percent).
In second place, the All New Kijang Innova Zenix posted SPK of 823 units (14.2 percent) with the composition of Hybrid variants reaching 80 percent, followed by the low cost green car (LCGC) Calya model of 816 units (14.1 percent), All New Agya 648 units (11.2 percent), and the latest product All New Alphard with SPK 382 units (6.6 percent).
“Thank you for the trust of GIIAS 2023 visitors who have made Toyota their vehicle of choice at the GIIAS 2023 event,” said PT TAM Vice President Henry Tanoto in a release, Tuesday (8/22).

Through a multi pathway strategy, Toyota introduced various electrification technologies to the Indonesian people, ranging from Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), to Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV).
These electrification models helped support Toyota’s sales during the GIIAS 2023 event. Such as the All New Kijang Innova Zenix Hybrid which recorded 658 units of SPK with a composition of 80 percent compared to the total sales of this model.
Then All New Alphard Hybrid which recorded SPK 305 units with a composition of 80 percent, All New Yaris Cross Hybrid as many as 222 units with a composition of 80 percent, Toyota BZ4X as many as 5 units, and RAV4 PHEV GR Sport with SPK 3 units.
Thus the total SPK of Toyota electrified vehicles was 1,255 units or 22 percent of all Toyota sales during the GIIAS 2023 exhibition. This figure is a significant increase of more than 10 times compared to last year’s GIIAS at 114 units.
