JABAR EKSPRES – The 2024 Paris Olympics target is a separate motivation for Indonesian women’s doubles Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma / Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi to collect point by point towards the world’s biggest sports party.
This followed Ana / Tiwi’s victory in the round of 16 big Japan Open 2023 over Chinese Taipei pair Lee Chia Hsin / Cheng Chun Hsun through two straight games 21-18, 21-18, Thursday (7/27).
“Of course we really want to play at the Olympics next year, we don’t want to wait for the next Olympics. As long as there is a chance, we will try however hard and how,” Ana said, quoted from PBSI’s written statement.
About today’s match, Ana said she and Tiwi had done a good game pattern and strategy.
“Today we can run the game pattern that has been prepared well. There are still one or two points of error but we can quickly return to the initial pattern,” Ana said.

Agreeing, Tiwi added that she and her partner must be more able to appear loose so that they are not pressured and make their own mistakes which are even beneficial to the opponent.
“We’re happy to be in the quarter-finals but we can’t be satisfied here. We still have a long way to go,” said Tiwi.
“Tomorrow we have to really reduce our own mistakes. That’s very important and will determine the final result when playing against top players,” she added.
Meanwhile, in the round of 16 big Japan Open 2023, the Indonesian team brought eight representatives. In the men’s singles there are Jonatan Christie and Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo. Meanwhile, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung will represent Indonesia in the women’s singles.
