JABAR EKSPRES – The meeting between Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo at a luncheon invited by King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud in Makkah on Thursday (6/29) brought a moment of calmness, said Islamic preacher Yusuf Mansur.
“What is clear is that I am happy, this meeting is so peaceful, the contestation of love, competing narratives, ideas, vision and mission for the future,” Yusuf Mansur said when met in Makkah.
He said that he fulfilled the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud and met with Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo.
At the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud there were also Puan Maharani, Prof. Nasaruddin Umar, Suharso Monoarfa, Abdul Halim, and Ninik Rahayu.
“During the lunch, I sat in the middle of Mas Anies and Mas Ganjar. We talked about throwing jumroh, the conversation was not political,” he said.
He said Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo did not show sullen faces and they showed honesty.
He said the message conveyed from this hajj is Rahmatan lil ‘Alamin (Mercy for all nature).
