JABAR EKSPRES – Ricardo Gelael appeared faster than the race winner Musa “Ijeck” Rajekshah in the 2nd match of the Lake Toba Rally National Championship or KFC Lake Toba Rally 2023 at Aek Nauli Gorbus, Sunday.
With a Citroen C3 R5 car with co-driver Hugo Magalhaes Ismael, Ricardo posted a time of 18 minutes 48.7 seconds on the 24.12 km special stage (SS). Ricardo / Hugo is 3.9 seconds faster than Ijeck.

These results also make up for the problems experienced on the first day, yesterday, on the two SS that took place. At that time, the track was considered too slippery due to heavy rain the night before so it had to be canceled by the committee.
“Today the car is very good. Even though it was only for one SS, it happened to be on the SS that I liked. I thank the team for repairing the car due to yesterday’s damage and today it can be pushed to the maximum,” Ricardo said in a written statement received by Indonesia Window here on Sunday.
Hugo also recognized Ricardo’s speed. “He was very fast today, I was also a little surprised but it was fun,” said the Portuguese co-driver.
Ricardo was not the fastest in the SS9, he was only the third fastest under H. Rihans Variza (Ford) and H. Rahmat (Hyundai).
Ijeck himself, although only the fourth fastest in SS9, was no longer chased to become the winner of the first round of the 2023 National Rally Championship in his own hometown. The Skoda driver with co-driver Hervian Sudjono won over H. Rahmat and Bintang Barlean (Subaru).
“I am of course happy to be the winner because that was my target. But the most important thing is that the KFC Lake Toba Rally 2023 runs well, smoothly and successfully. Congratulations to all participants and sponsors who support,” said Ijeck who is also the deputy governor of North Sumatra.
