Jabar Ekspres – Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud has granted 1,000 free Hajj quotas to Palestinian Muslims, said Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Da’wah and Extension Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Syaikh.
“The free hajj quotas granted by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud to Palestinian Muslims are prioritized for the families of martyrs and the wounded,” Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Syaikh told a press conference in Makkah on Sunday.
Sheikh Abdullatif said that King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud also granted 1,000 free hajj quotas to the families of Yemeni martyrs.
The free hajj program was also given to 150 Yemeni scholars, 280 Syrian participants, 130 participants from the Arab Science and Culture Organization (ALECSO), as well as 1,300 participants from more than 90 countries around the world, he said.

He said it ensures the best service for all participants of the free Hajj program from King Salman starting from the time of arrival and their departure back to their home countries.
In addition, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is preparing more than 1,000 mosques, including Miqat and areas around the holy sites.
For the Hajj season, 1,300 preachers have been assigned to work around the clock to carry out 200,000 guidance or counseling activities.
A video call service has been launched through iPads at the holy sites, and a free phone service (8002451000) has been created to receive pilgrims’ calls through 200 lines, he said.
Sheikh Abdullatif said that more than 7,200 personnel have been assigned to serve pilgrims.
The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Da’wah and Extension also distributed millions of copies of the Quran as a gift from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz to each pilgrim.
Furthermore, the Ministry translated Quranic verses into more than 76 international languages.
An electronic library service has also been introduced, providing more than 1,000 scholarly materials and guides in more than 40 international languages.
