“As for motorists who pass through level crossings, they should follow the rules for mutual safety and security as regulated in legislation and government regulations,” she said.

PT KAI in addition to closing the Depok-Citayam crossing, Feni detailed that from the beginning of January to June 2023, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta had closed 9 illegal level crossings.

“Among others at KM 26+100 between Cakung-Bekasi, KM 41+2/3 between Citayam – Bojonggede, KM 133+029 between Tonjong Baru – Cilegon, KM 40+1/2 between Citayam – Cibinong, KM 115+6/7 between Serang – Karangantu, KM 115+7/8 between Serang – Kangantu, KM 7+0/1 between Ancol – Tanjung Priuk, KM 12+400 between Jatinegara – Bekasi,” she said.
