JABAR EKSPRES – Spain advanced to the UEFA Nations League final after beating Italy 2-1 at De Grolsch Vesce, Twente, Blanda on Friday morning.
Spain were able to take the lead quickly thanks to Yeremy Pino’s goal. Italy had equalized the score through Ciro Immobile’s penalty before Spain secured victory thanks to Joselu’s goal at the end of the second half.
Thanks to this result, Spain also has the right to qualify for the final to face Croatia. Meanwhile, Italy must undergo a third-place match against the Netherlands.
Spain have managed to open the scoring thanks to Pino’s goal when the game has only been running for three minutes. Taking advantage of the carelessness of the Italian players, Pino quickly stole the ball and beat Gianluigi Donnarumma. The score was 1-0.

Seven minutes later, Italy were awarded a penalty after Robin Le Normand handballed in the forbidden box. Immobile, who acted as executioner, successfully beat Unai Simon and made the position 1-1.
In the 21st minute, Italy had scored through the action of Davide Frattesi. Unfortunately, this goal must be disallowed because the player has already stood in an offside position.
Spain created a number of golden opportunities in the remainder of the first half. However, no additional goals were created. The 1-1 score lasted until the game entered the halftime break.
Returning from the dressing room, Spain almost regained the lead in the 48th minute. Mikel Merino’s chance was countered by Gianluigi Donnarumma, and the rebound ball failed to be maximized by Alvaro Morata.
