Present at the main location in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, Siti Nurbaya said the Coastal Clean Up movement is a form of concern for the environment, especially in waste management, where the total waste collected every year at the same activity needs to be a common concern.
“From this movement, we create history in preserving the world environment, especially Indonesia, the total waste collected from all over Indonesia is recorded at 68.5 million tons per year and around 18.5 percent is plastic waste, this is a problem for us together,” said Siti Nurbaya.
She also appreciated the 52 industries that have collaborated to protect the environment together in the waste cleanup action.
Of the 135 points organized by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, PLN IP was represented by the PLTU Jabar 2 Pelabuhan Ratu Unit which held activities on the coast of Loji, Sukabumi, West Java.
