JABAR EKSPRES –The Lampung Provincial Manpower Office (Disnaker) said it would provide assistance to 24 victims of Trafficking in Persons (TPPO) found in the area.
“Related to the disclosure of the TPPO case whose victims are 24 women from West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). This is an Arab network, because the victims will be sent to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates,” said Head of Lampung Manpower Office, Agus Nompitu, in Bandarlampung, Thursday (6/8).
He said that although the 24 victims of TPPO were not Lampung residents, he and related parties would provide assistance to the victims.
“There is still assistance with the Migrant Worker Protection Task Force for victims, because the victims are all women so there is also assistance from the Office of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection to overcome trauma,” he said.

He explained that if all the processes and deepening of the disclosure of the TPPO case had been completed, the victims would be returned to their respective regions.
“Currently, they are being held by Lampung Police because the number is quite large. The return will be facilitated by an integrated team. Even though they are not from Lampung, they will still be facilitated because they are victims of illegal labor placement practices,” he said.
According to him, in 2022 there were also cases of human trafficking, where four victims came from East Lampung Regency.
“The one in 2022 was a Malaysian network, here there were four East Lampung residents who were victims. The mode is like in general, namely being persuaded to work and get a high income,” he added.
Previously, Lampung Police managed to rescue 24 women from NTB who were victims of TPPO. The 24 victims were found in a shelter house located in Rajabasa Jaya Village, Rajabasa District, Bandarlampung City.
