JABAR EKSPRES – NPK fertilizer production and distribution company, PT Saraswanti Anugerah Makmur Tbk (SAMF), at its annual general meeting of shareholders (AGMS) in Jakarta, Tuesday (5/30), approved the distribution of cash dividends for the fiscal year 2022 worth Rp153.75 billion or Rp30 per share on June 30, 2023.
SAMF President Director Yahya Taufik explained that the company posted a net profit that increased 102 percent year on year (yoy) to Rp345.99 billion throughout 2022, which was supported by fertilizer sales that reached Rp3.689 trillion or increased 99 percent (yoy).
Taufik continued that the remaining net profit after deducting the dividend allocation of IDR 192.24 billion will be recorded as retained earnings.
Meanwhile, the dividend distribution schedule includes Regular Market and Negotiated Market Cum dividends on June 8, 2023, and Regular Market and Negotiated Market Ex dividends on June 9, 2023.
Then, Cash Market Cum dividends on June 12, 2023, and Cash Market Ex dividends on June 13, 2023, with a list of shareholders entitled to cash dividends, aka recording date as of June 12, 2023.
In the previous year, Taufik revealed that SAMF regularly distributed dividends, which in 2020 amounted to IDR 52.78 billion or IDR 10.30 per share, then, in 2021, IDR 89.27 billion or IDR 17.42 per share.
Then, in 2022 the company distributed dividends of IDR 85.57 billion or IDR 16.70 per share, and in 2023 this amounted to IDR 153.75 billion or IDR 30 per share.
During the first quarter of 2023, SAMF posted sales of Rp1.52 trillion, or jumped 81.79 percent (yoy) compared to the same period the previous year of Rp839.49 billion.
As sales increased, the company’s profit for the year also increased to Rp145.63 billion in the first quarter of 2023, an increase of 84.24 percent (yoy) compared to the same period the previous year of Rp79.04 billion.
