Police Have Returned Vehicles Caught in Raids During Ramadan to Owners

According to him, to take his son’s two-wheeled vehicle there are a number of requirements that must be met, such as STNK, BPKB, and standard exhaust or in accordance with factory output.

“My son just told me that his motorcycle was detained by the police during Lebaran yesterday. Previously, he said that his motorcycle was at a friend’s house,” he said.

He admitted that his son, Lukman Hadi Utomo, regretted making modifications that were not in accordance with the regulations. In the future, he promised to use vehicle parts that comply with the provisions.

“There are no other sanctions, just told to bring a standard exhaust and other requirements,” he said.

During the holy month of Ramadan, Malang City Police increased operations to control motorized vehicles that did not comply with regulations, such as using noisy exhausts that were not factory output.

During Ramadan, hundreds of two-wheeled motorized vehicles and a number of four-wheeled motorized vehicles were secured at Malang City Police. Police Chief of Malang City Commissioner Budi Hermanto stated that the vehicles caught in the raid could be picked up after the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijriah.
