JABAR EKSPRES — Six victims were successfully evacuated in a chain-reaction traffic accident involving eight vehicles on the Solo-Semarang Toll Road, 600 meters near the rest area of Bale Nglaras KM 487, Teras Village/Regency, Boyolali Regency, Central Java, Friday (14/4).
From the results of monitoring at the scene of the traffic accident involving eight vehicles occurred at around 04.00 WIB, and officers evacuated one victim who was pinned in a box truck vehicle.
Officers from the toll road management, Boyolali Police Traffic Unit, and BPBD evacuated one of the victims who was pinned in the green box truck vehicle, having to use heavy equipment to retrieve the victim. The victim was then successfully evacuated and taken to the hospital.

According to the Head of Traffic Division of Boyolali Police, AKP Herdi Pratama, the accident occurred in the area of Boyolali toll road KM 487+ 600, where the accident involved eight large vehicles consisting of six trailer units, one box truck and one Isuzu Elf.
Herdi said the incident occurred at around 04.00 WIB, starting from a trailer truck carrying iron from the direction of Semarang to Solo, where the truck, allegedly the driver was sleepy, the second rim was blown, and the third was overloaded so that when braking it did not function properly.
The trailer truck carrying the iron at the scene hit the Elf car in front of it. After that, it hit the trucks on the shoulder of the road that were parking so that many vehicles left the toll road.
“We recorded six casualties consisting of four Elf passengers, one box truck kernet and one iron-carrying trailer truck driver. One person was seriously injured and six others were slightly injured,” Herdi said.

His party has not been able to provide information on the victims because they are still being identified. The incident did not disrupt the traffic flow on the toll road from Semarang to Solo because it happened on the shoulder of the road.
