JABAR EKSPRES — Indonesian businessman, M. Jusuf Hamka (Babah Alun), used up to IDR 12.5 trillion in personal funds for the construction of the Cisumdawu (Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan) Toll Road.
Previously, Jusuf successfully won the auction for the construction of the Cisumdawu Toll Road.
According to him, until December 2022, the construction of the Cisumdawu Toll Road will still use private funds.
This is because Jusuf only submitted a loan to an Islamic bank of Rp1.95 trillion on December 28, 2022.

He plans to use the loan to build rest areas and other investments that are useful for the convenience of motorists.
Currently, Jusuf has disbursed funds totaling Rp12.5 trillion through one of his companies, PT Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada (CMNP).
Meanwhile, PT CMNP is the largest shareholder with 54.59 percent.
Furthermore, PT Waskita Toll Road holds a stake of 16.06 percent, PT Jasa Sarana 3.67 percent, and 25.69 percent is held by PT Brantas Abipraya.
The man who is familiarly called Babah Alun plans to build a 15-hectare rest area with mosque facilities, MSME centers, and several outlets selling branded goods.
“People can come while traveling and sightseeing,” he said on Thursday (6/4).
Jusuf also explained that the construction of the Cisumdawu Toll Road has a multiplier effect.
“(The construction of the Cisumdawu Toll Road) is a multiplier effect that has an impact on the revival of our economy,” he said.

The multiplier effect not only has an impact on economic growth, but also on the significant increase in land prices.
In addition, Jusuf stated that he had spent around 80 percent of the Cisumdawu Toll Road financing from personal funds.
Jusuf termed the funds as ‘duit anak kampung’.
“Alhamdulillah, this ‘duit anak kampung’, the private sector is building for the country. The Cisumdawu Toll Road is not the only one (road we have built). We have built six (other toll roads),” Jusuf said.
