JABAR EKSPRES – Monster Energy Yamaha team rider Fabio Quartararo hopes to repeat his achievements last year at the Catalunya MotoGP which will be held at the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit this weekend.
“I had one of the best races of my life here last year. The Barcelona Circuit is one of my favorite tracks. Usually, this is a track that suits me, and I always enjoy riding here,” Quartararo said, as quoted from Yamaha’s official statement on Thursday.
Currently, Fabio Quartararo is in 11th place in the championship standings and hopes to improve his performance in Barcelona this weekend. The good results he achieved in the Austrian MotoGP two weeks ago gave him the confidence to reach the podium in Barcelona.

The Frenchman has a good track record in Catalunya. He won at the circuit in 2018 in the Moto2 class, finished second in the premier class in 2019, and took MotoGP victories in 2020 and 2022.
“We will see if we can achieve positive results and give a smile to my team and family (at this circuit),” Quartararo said.
Meanwhile, his teammate, Franco Morbidelli, is determined to find a strong foundation for the upcoming race and score solid results in practice and qualifying sessions.
“I felt good during the previous race weekend and want to build on that and keep the positive moments going. I felt good during the race at the Austrian GP,” Morbidelli said.
The Italian has never finished in the top three at Catalunya in the MotoGP class, but came close in 2020, when he finished fourth.
“We hope that this weekend we can improve our results in Friday and Saturday morning practice sessions so that we can start the race in a better position,” Morbidelli said.
