Actually Latvia had the opportunity to get up to catch up with a one-point difference, namely 55-54. But the momentum of the revival was again interrupted, Canada again widened the distance to reach 24 points in the fourth quarter and the score ended 101-75.
Shai Gilgeous Alexander was again the highest point scorer for Canada with 27 points, RJ Barret added 22 points, Kelly Olynyk 15 points, and Nickeil Alexander-Walker 14 points.
While Andreas Grazulis was the top scorer for Latvia with 16 points, Rodions Kurucs recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Arturs Zagars 11 points.
