JABAR EKSPRES – Kim Yo-jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, threatened the United States military on Tuesday that it would face a “very dangerous flight” if it “illegally trespassed” on North Korean airspace.
The threat came via a report from North Korea’s Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), hours after Kim Yo-jong issued a statement on Monday accusing US spy planes of entering North Korea’s exclusive economic zone earlier that day.
In an English-language written statement reported by KCNA, Kim said that she had warned in advance of countermeasures that the North Korean military would take with authorization if any violation of North Korean airspace occurred again.

North Korea’s Defense Ministry spokesman has also accused US spy planes of trespassing its airspace recently and threatened to shoot down such planes without security guarantees.
In his latest statement, Kim Yo-jong claimed that US surveillance planes had crossed the “economic waters zone” and carried out “aerial spying actions”. According to him, these US surveillance flights violated North Korea’s sovereign borders. Kim also threatened that the North Korean military would take countermeasures for such violations.
He also criticized South Korea for intervening in the matter, stating that the issue is “between the Korean People’s Military and US forces” and called on South Korea to “stop acting disrespectfully and shut up immediately”.

The South Korean military denies allegations that it has violated North Korean airspace and calls the flights of US aerial surveillance assets around the Korean Peninsula part of routine surveillance activities. Experts consider that North Korea emphasized that the issue of US surveillance flights is a matter between Pyongyang and Washington, and they do not want to involve South Korea in issues related to the Korean Peninsula.
