JABAR EKSPRES – The Foreign Election Committee (PPLN) Praha held a socialization activity for the 2024 General Election to Indonesian citizens in the Czech Republic.
The socialization was held during a gathering of hundreds of Indonesians after the Eid al-Adha prayer at the Ambassador House, the Indonesian Embassy in Prague said in a statement received on Thursday (6/29).
With the assistance of the secretariat team from the Indonesian Embassy, PPLN Praha, which consists of three people selected from among Indonesian citizens living in the Czech Republic, has been carrying out socialization since February 2023.
They collect and match data on Indonesian citizens living in the Czech Republic and then submit it to the General Election Commission (KPU) in Jakarta to be recorded as the Permanent Voters List for the General Election, said the Indonesian Embassy in Prague.

PPLN in the Czech Republic has conducted a plenary meeting on June 21 and determined the list of 383 voters.
On this socialization occasion, PPLN Praha focused on providing information about the types of voters, voter criteria and election methods offered to vote in the 2024 elections.
During the socialization, Indonesian Ambassador to the Czech Republic Kenssy D. Ekaningsih said that the number of voters in the Czech Republic increased almost twice from the previous election in 2019.
The increase, according to her, shows that more and more Indonesians are living in the Czech Republic.
“Use your 5 minutes for the next 5 years to make Indonesia better,” Ambassador Kenssy said.
Indonesian citizens in the Czech Republic who attended the socialization were also asked to play an active role in checking their personal data independently through https://cekdptonline.kpu.go.id to ensure their data has been recorded in the list.
This step will make it easier for voters to apply for an A5 model form if they want to make changes to their domicile or method of voting.
