President Jokowi’s presence was confirmed by Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Zainudin Amali after inaugurating the launch of a new bus for the Indonesian national team at Garuda Store, Gelora Bung Karno stadium complex, Jakarta, Sunday.
“President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo will be present to watch the match live. It has been confirmed, Insyaallah present,” PSSI Deputy Chairman Zainudin Amali told reporters.
The presence of the number one person in Indonesia and the influx of thousands of homeland supporters who will watch the match directly to the stadium, Zainudin Amali said that security has been coordinated with the security forces and urged supporters to enter the stadium directly.
“It has been arranged (coordination) related to security. It has been directed. To friends (supporters), please come early, not when the match starts, just want to come. For those who already have a bracelet, go straight inside (stadium),” said Zainudin Amali.
The Indonesian national team is confirmed through coach Shin Tae Yong to be down with mainstay players such as Dimas Drajad, Asnawi Mangkualam, Arhan Pratama and Marc Klok.
Practically the Garuda squad can only be strengthened by defender Sandy Walsh who suffered a calf injury during a training camp in Surabaya last Sunday.
While from the team with the status of World Cup champions, Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni decided to give vacation time to senior players such as captain Lionel Messi, winger Angel Di Maria and defender Nicholas Otamendi.
