JABAR EKSPRES – Indonesian bicycle manufacturer Patrol is joining the world’s largest bicycle exhibition, Eurobike, to expand its market, which will take place from June 21 to 25.
The South Tangerang-based bicycle manufacturer is the only Indonesian bicycle manufacturer present at Eurobike 2023. The bicycle event moved to a new location at Frankfurt Messe this year, to accommodate more participants and visitors.
The presence of Indonesian bicycle manufacturers at Eurobike 2023 received a warm welcome from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia Berlin.

“Patrol has taken the right step to consistently participate in Eurobike. The large number of visitors, both business and direct consumers, will further increase the exposure of Patrol products and increase opportunities for market penetration of Indonesian bicycles into the German and European markets, as well as other regional areas,” said Trade Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Berlin Bayu Wicaksono
The bicycle manufacturer also assessed that their new products in the form of electric bicycles, gravel bicycles, and children’s bicycles would be in demand in the European market.
“We see that the bicycle industry is developing towards all-electronics with motors and batteries that facilitate the mobility and efficiency of its users, so that the segment is getting wider and opens up new consumer potential,” said Patrol Marketing Head Vincentius Yongki.

Cycling is closely associated with community activities in Germany. Even last year, to celebrate Indonesia’s 77th birthday, the Indonesian diaspora racing bicycle team in Germany called Adler Nusantara also enlivened the Hamburg Cyclassics bicycle event.
Although in Germany cycling for daily activities has long been recognized, in Indonesia cycling only gained momentum during the COVID-19 pandemic. At that time, cycling fever occurred in major cities in Indonesia.
