JABAR EKSPRES – French stocks ended in the green on Wednesday (6/14) local time, recording gains for the third consecutive day, with the benchmark CAC 40 index on the Paris Stock Exchange advancing 0.52 percent or 37.73 points to settle at 7,328.53 points.
The CAC 40 index added 0.56 percent or 40.45 points to 7,290.80 points on Tuesday (6/13) after rising 0.52 percent or 37.21 points to 7,250.35 points on Monday (6/12), and falling 0.12 percent or 9.01 points to 7,213.14 points on Friday (6/9).
Of the 40 stocks of selected large companies that are components of the CAC 40 index, 30 stocks made gains, while 10 others suffered losses.
Renault SA (an automotive industry company that designs, manufactures, markets and repairs French passenger cars and light commercial vehicles) jumped 3.94 percent, becoming the top gainer among blue chips.
This was followed by shares of customer relationship management services company and creator of programs to attract new customers Teleperformance SE, which increased 2.23 percent. Likewise, French construction and concession company Vinci SA increased 1.89 percent.
Meanwhile, Alstom SA (a company that develops and markets integrated systems for the transportation sector) suffered the most losses (top loser) among the leading stocks, with its share price slipping 1.73 percent.
Followed by shares of the company that designs and builds French aerospace and defense electrical systems Thales SA lost 1.12 percent. Next, technology company that provides software application services to support the innovation process of client companies Dassault Systemes SE fell 0.70 percent.
