Thomas Doll is Satisfied with the Results of Persija’s Training for the Past Two Weeks

JABAR EKSPRES – Persija Jakarta coach Thomas Doll is satisfied with the results of the training his team has undergone in the past two weeks before preparing for the trial match against Persebaya on June 18.

“After two weeks of training with a fairly heavy program, sometimes they train twice a day, finally we can produce a good game today,” Thomas Doll said as quoted from the official statement received by the reporter, Saturday.

Thomas Doll also revealed that his players were able to join the training session without anyone missing due to injury. In addition, all Persija recruits can also train together and immediately appear in tune with the training pattern applied by the German coach.

“The new players are finally playing in Persija shirts for the first time. Everyone had good movement, no injuries, the goals scored today were good. All of this is a good start,” said Thomas Doll.

The former Borussia Dortmund coach is also satisfied with the performance of the two new retainers recruited by the Kemayoran Tigers, Rizky Ridho and Akbar Arjunsyah who have shown chemistry with each other.

“Ridho and Akbar’s chemistry is pretty good. Although we can see we don’t get dangerous threats and their attacks are not strong enough. But you can see Akbar likes to duel with the ball and he is very strong. For Ridho, everyone knows how his quality is. I am sure he will continue to grow,” said Thomas Doll.

As for the new recruit foreign player Ryo Matsumura, Thomas Doll assessed that he has the initiative and coordination to play the rhythm of the game. In addition, Ryo also often plays a role in one-two pass cooperation.

“He (Ryo Matsumura) likes to change the rhythm of the game. He always tries to get inside and actively asks for one-two passes. I see he always has a target to achieve, he always aims towards the goal, sometimes he sends other players to do it, and does a lot of fast little movements,” said Thomas Doll.
