Jabar Ekspres – Singer Shakira Jasmine wants to invite listeners to explore the other side of life through her new single titled “Best” which was officially released on Wednesday (7/6).
“Sometimes in life, we need a break from reality especially when we feel everything is out of our control. In this song, I also want to bring all listeners to the other side of life that we want,” Shakira Jasmine said in a press release here on Thursday.
According to her, the song “Best” was written to make listeners feel like the main character in life. Shakira emphasized the importance of staying true to oneself as life is too short to be missed.
“Best” tells a story of discovery and search for identity that reflects Shakira’s personal journey to find the power of oneself.
The song invites listeners to stop the routine and spend a once-in-a-lifetime evening with a precious person. “Best” also includes an uplifting message to get excited about life.
“This song expresses a feeling where we don’t even have to think, because life is too short to miss. More than that, the meaning of the song can be much deeper depending on our perspective,” said Shakira.
According to her, the song “Best” was created last year and received a good response from her friends. Shakira decided to finalize the song until it entered the recording kitchen.
On Wednesday (7/6), the “Best” music video directed by Ivan Saputra Alam of Athea Visuals was also launched through Musica Studios’ YouTube channel.
According to Shakira, the music video was shot in Kuala Lumpur and Genting, Malaysia. The visuals of the “Best” music video were inspired by the meaning of the song’s lyrics, which Shakira represented with driving activities colored by city lights, the atmosphere on the train, and walking and running.
