During this week, people who need to make a longer detour of about 4 kilometers to get to their destination from the direction of East Bogor, Ciawi, Puncak, Bogor Toll exit, to the Central Bogor area such as Bogor City Hall, Bogor Station and BTM Mall via Jalan Pajaran turning at Jambu Dua Junction, continue to run smoothly.
On the other hand, there is another option for East Bogor residents is to access Sukasari Intersection to Bondongan, BTM Mall to other Central Bogor areas.
However, said Kompol Galih, these options make the two points of Sukasari Intersection at the Lippo Plaza Ekalokasari roundabout and Jambu Dua Intersection potentially more congested than usual at certain hours.
“However, traffic congestion can be overcome by placing personnel at each point to conduct a one-lane system if necessary,” he said.
To smoothen the traffic flow, Bogor City Police and the local government will evaluate the traffic engineering by considering temporarily suspending the SSA and making it two-way.
“Hopefully it will be smoother. Next Monday, the evaluation meeting is planned, we will convey residents’ input to make it two-way again. But we see until today, the average traffic condition is smooth,” he said.
