JABAR EKSPRES – The Traffic Traffic Unit of the Bogor City Police, West Java Police, noted that the density of vehicle traffic this weekend on Sunday (5/7) decreased by 12.92 percent to 10,341 cars compared to Saturday (5/6) as many as 11,876 cars passing through the Bogor Toll exit.
“On Sunday, the traffic flow in Bogor City was smooth. The number of incoming vehicles decreased, both at the Bogor Toll exit and the BORR Toll Road,” Kasatlantas Polresta Bogor Kota, Kompol Galih Apria, in Bogor City.
Kompol Galih explained that the number of vehicles exiting the Bogor Toll Road towards Bogor City which can access the One Direction System (SSA) from Tugu Kujang and towards Sukasari is indeed quite high compared to other strategic toll exits.
However, there was a shift in the density of traffic flow from the toll road on Saturday (5/6). The Bogor Toll exit which on weekends can reach more than 12,000 cars became 11,876 cars.
Meanwhile, the density of traffic flow on the BORR Toll Road, which is usually not too congested even on weekends, now reaches 11,776 cars, higher than the congestion weekday on Tuesday (5/2) 7,639 cars.
He said that all vehicle numbers were recorded on the Bogor Digital Smart Mobile (Bismo) application which is connected to CCTV counters.
He said, it is estimated that the change in people’s choice to access the route because there is a diversion of traffic flow as a result of the revitalization of the Otista Bridge from May 1 to November 8, 2023.
The work takes seven months, making traffic engineering necessary to avoid SSA access on Jalan Pajajaran from the direction of Tugu Kujang.
Meanwhile, until Sunday (5/7), SSA access is still valid from Suryakencana, BTM Mall, Bogor City Hall to the direction of Sempur Field to Jalan Pajajaran again, traffic conditions do not occur significant congestion and on average busy smoothly.
