The win was Frank Lampard’s first since being appointed as Chelsea’s in-house coach in early April.
Chelsea have now moved up to 11th with 42 points and are certain to avoid the relegation zone because they cannot be surpassed by the bottom three teams namely Southampson, Everton and Leeds.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth is in 14th place with 39 points, according to the records of the official English Premier League page.
Chelsea opened up immediately when the game had only been running for nine minutes. N’Golo Kante’s cross from the right was met by Conor Gallagher with a header that found the left corner of the net guarded by Neto. The score was 1-0.

In the second half, Bournemouth tried to appear pressing. However, Chelsea actually came back ahead thanks to Benoit Badiashile’s goal in the 82nd minute.
Hakim Ziyech took a free kick and sent the ball to Badiashile who fired a close-range shot. The ball was brushed off by Neto, but still entered the Bournemouth goal. The score became 2-1.
Four minutes later, Chelsea sealed their victory thanks to a goal from substitute Joao Felix in the 84th minute after completing a pass from Sterling. The 3-1 score for Chelsea lasted until the match was over.
