Cisumdawu Toll Road: Starting to be Used for Backflow Travel Towards Bandung

JABAR EKSPRES —The functional section of the Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan (Cisumdawu) Toll Road began to be used for the return flow towards Bandung with a one-way system on H + 1 Lebaran 2023, Monday (24/4).

Director of Engineering and Operations of PT Citra Karya Jabar Tol (CKJT) Cisumdawu Toll Road, Bagus Meidi, said that the functional toll road was opened for the direction of Bandung since 07.30 WIB, H + 1 Lebaran.

“There are already many who pass the toll road towards Bandung, but I haven’t counted how much traffic,” Bagus said when contacted in Bandung, West Java, Monday.

That way, now the Ujung Jaya Utama Toll Gate on the Cisumdawu Toll Road only serves vehicles coming from the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road.

The functional section of the Ciwsumdawu Toll Road is applied starting from the Ujung Jaya Utama Toll Gate to the Cimalaka area, Sumedang Regency.

With the one way system, vehicles coming from Bandung heading eastward cannot access the functional section. So that vehicles from the direction of Bandung were then directed to exit through the Cimalaka Toll Gate.

Meanwhile, the toll road from Cileunyi Toll Gate to Cimalaka is still operating normally and can be used in both directions.

Bagus said the functional lane on the Ciwsumdawu Toll Road section was used until May 1, 2023, or until the return flow was complete. Then the toll road, according to him, will be closed for a while.

“The peak of the return flow is on the 29th, because we are also still following the Cipali Toll Road,” he said.
