JABAR EKSPRES —PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) recorded as many as 38 trains departed from Gambir Station, Jakarta, to carry 18,500 passengers to various homecoming destinations on D-2 of The Eid Al-Fitr.
“For Gambir Station, the volume of passengers today reached around 18,500 with 38 trains operating,” Head of Public Relations of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Eva Chairunisa said here on Thursday (20/4).
Meanwhile, 24,200 passengers departed through Pasar Senen Station on the same day with 32 trains operating.
In total, travelers who will depart by train through the operational area 1 on Thursday (4/20) reached 42,700 passengers.

According to Eva, Daop 1 today began to enter the peak period of Eid Al-Fitr 2023 homecoming flow considering the total occupancy of seats from train departures also reached 100 percent.
Meanwhile, based on data to date, around 590,000 tickets for Lebaran transportation period departures from Gambir and Pasar Senen Stations have been sold with departure schedules on favorite dates, namely April 14 to 23, 2023.
Based on the data of tickets sold on these dates, the occupancy rate of passenger volume has reached 90 to 100 percent with the highest volume recorded on April 18, 19, 20 and 21, 2023 because the occupancy rate reached 100 percent.
A number of destination cities that are favorite choices include Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Purwokerto, Kutoarjo, Semarang, Tegal, Solo and Bandung.
Eva continued, during the 2023 Lebaran transportation period starting from April 12 to May 3, in total Daop 1 Jakarta prepared up to 1 million tickets with 1,513 train trips.

That number includes 303 additional train trips whose tickets can be booked since Monday, March 13, 2023 and are available for a number of favorite trips such as Yogyakarta, Semarang, Solo, Blitar, Surabaya and Malang.
Eid transportation ticket reservations can be made since 45 days before the scheduled departure through the KAI Access application, kai.id page, contact center 121 and various official sales partners.
